abstract = {The present paper presents the results of an analysis of indicators underlying successful self-marketing techniques on social media. The participants included YouTube gamers. We focus on the content of their communication on Facebook to identify significant differences in terms of their user-generated Facebook metrics and commentary sentiments. Methodologically, ANOVA and sentiment analysis were applied. ANOVA of the classified post categories revealed that re-posted YouTube videos gained significantly fewer likes, comments, and shares from the audience. On the other hand, photos tended to show significantly more follower-generated actions compared to other post types in the sample. Sentiment analysis revealed underlying follower negativity when user-generated activity tended to be relatively low, offering valuable complementary results to the mere analysis of other post indicators, such as the number of likes, comments, and shares. The results indicated the necessity to utilize natural language processing techniques to optimize brand communication on social media and highlighted the importance of considering the opinion of the masses for better understanding of consumer feedback.},

abstract = {Technological integration and convergence enables customers to experience conventional, online and mobile shopping. Companies tailor multiple retail channels in respond to their customers' needs. The so-called omni-channel retail strategy suggests an integrated shopping approach, combining the convenience of various digital channels with the customers' personal experience, typical for brick and mortar settings. Due to the co-existence of multiple sales channels complementing each other, retail companies may better engage with their customers. Moreover, the easy and seamless switching between various retail channels allows customers to experience the brand holistically, and thus be more satisfied with the shopping experience and the product per se, and be more brandloyal. This paper aims to investigate and analyse -- based on recent literature -- the advantages and challenges of omni-channel retailing on a broad, systematic basis from a business perspective. As a result, we identify those aspects of omni-channel retailing, where mobile technologies may contribute either to further improvements or to eliminate drawbacks.},

abstract = {By integrating methods and models from systems science, the interdisciplinary field of service science has provided the basis for a possible radical shift in understanding the coordination mechanisms underlying global market dynamics. The Variety Engineering Model is found to support and extend the evolving framework of service-dominant logic by shedding light on the relational nature of interacting social agents, who co-create value by steering their behavior towards shared meanings through conversation. In our highly complex present-day world the main driver of balancing agents’ complexity asymmetries is self-organization. Without adequate management, this self-regulation seldom produces socially desirable outcomes. We conceive the proposed systemic methodology as an effective guideline for supporting managers to coordinate this process towardscommon policies, which may foster sustainable structures.},

abstract = {The core of the open innovation paradigm is based on the principle of collecting ideas from external sources into the organization, and bringing those adapted, transformed and enriched ideas to the market. However, under the constant pressure of being innovative, companies have to try harder to tap their customers’ knowledge and abilities. Crowdsourcing communities provide an arena for a vast amount of consumers to actively participate in innovation processes. However, as this kind of external participation in innovation processes is still in its infancy, organizations need guidance and analytic support to reveal the potential of the open innovation paradigm. Therefore, this paper analyses new product development using social crowd integration concepts and—as a result—points to further promising directions and subtopics to perform future research in this area.},

Nevertheless, it appears to be essential to examine whether it prevails within different business strategies. Thus, within this article the use of E-Commerce by global narrow-specialized companies will be analyzed, as this business strategy represents an interesting approach of competitive scheme in global markets of good & service bundles. Though the amount of the research papers devoted separately to E-Commerce and global narrow-specialized companies are rather high, there is still limited information on how such companies use E-Commerce. Thereby, this article may contribute to the limited knowledge regarding the use of E-Commerce by global narrow-specialized companies. Moreover, the research may also have managerial implications. The knowledge gained during the research could be useful for other companies. And hence, it could help managers of global narrow-specialized companies to make decisions on investments and execution of E-Commerce strategy.},

abstract = {In this paper, we report on our ongoing research on simulation-based information security risk assessment and multi-objective optimization of investment in security controls. We outline a methodological framework that accounts for characteristics of the organization, its information infrastructure, assets to be protected, the particular threat sources it faces, and the decision-makers' risk preferences. This framework comprises (i) ontological modeling of security knowledge, (ii) dynamic attack graph generation techniques, (iii) probabilistic simulation of attacks by goal-driven threat agents, (iv) meta-heuristic identification of efficient portfolios of information security controls, and (v) interactive decision support. These components facilitate novel techniques to infer possible routes of attacks and generate attack graphs based on attackers' motivation, objectives, capabilities, and available modes of entry and to use this inferred knowledge to simulate attacks on an organization's modeled infrastructure. The method supports decision makers evaluating potential security control investments in striking a balance between monetary and non-monetary criteria regarding risks, costs, and benefits. We are currently in the process of developing a prototypical implementation of the framework that will be used to evaluate the approach through application case studies.},

abstract = {Nowadays, Telecom service providers work in highly varied environment that includes cable television operators, Internet/Web-2.0 suppliers, and mobile/wireless services providers. Besides, end-user service personalization and short time-to-market are crucial characteristics to succeed. Thus, the main challenge for service providers is the implementation of a technical infrastructure that makes the information system simpler, more flexible, and open, while providing secure and reliable access to enterprise resources. Thus, we perform in this paper an analysis of capacities and requirements of a new platform, considering existing service providers' enterprise network architecture and future growth. Further, we (i) analyze the evolution of approaches and strategies in the Telco&IT landscape, also (ii) we categorize the requirements to service platforms and create an appropriate taxonomy. abstract = {Current dynamic and turbulent markets require flexible business processes that increasingly depend on fast and reliable information flows between heterogeneous companies. This relies on innovative types of integrated applications on all layers - technological, organizational and process-related - and a holistic managerial framework to establish a smoothly operating layer integration. Thus, we first characterize actual business requirements - especially regarding business attributes such as complexity, flexibility and a heterarchical system behavior from a value network perspective. Then, we propose a layer-based framework for modeling strategic requirements on information services. We finally draw conclusions regarding the consequences for information and business services and related architectural design principles.},

abstract = {Workflow (Management) Systems provide means and techniques to model, design, perform and control repetitive business processes. The quality of commercial workflow systems usually is highly determined by their versatility and multi-purpose-application; a present day trend to improve workflow systems is the enrichment of modeling methods and techniques in order to enlarge design alternatives. In this paper, we propose a technique called stochastic branch and bound to find such optimum combinations of measures. Modeling and evaluation of time-critical processes are becoming an essential feature for commercial applications as penalties and fines are an increasingly applied means on highly competitive markets.},

abstract = {Users of electronic commerce applications often face the problem of how to judge the value of a document that is digitally signed by someone claiming to be an authorized agent of a particular organization, such as a company or a federal office. While the claimant might provide a personal certificate that can be used for authentication, the more general questions are related to the issue of authorization: how can a user be certain that the agent is truly authorized to act on behalf of the organization and that the agent is acting in a legally-binding manner? Similarly, how can the organization be held liable for the digital signatures its authorized agents provide? This paper elaborates on possible means of addressing these and similar questions. In particular, it addresses the utilization of attribute certificates for implementing role-based authorization and access controls. In addition, the paper also elaborates on a possible implementation for commercial registers that could be used to certify the attribute authorities that issue attribute certificates.},
